November 7, 2018 - Bernheisel Racing Ends 2018 Season with Six Wins and a Championship; Preparations Already Underway for a Big 2019 Campaign
1Jonestown, Pennsylvania (11/06/18) – Bernheisel Racing with drivers, Bryan Bernheisel and Jim Bernheisel recently put a wrap on the 2018 campaign. It was another successful year of competition for the Pennsylvania-based team.

Bryan Bernheisel had another banner season in his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Russ Gibble Roofing & Siding/ Lazer Chassis Late Model. He not only collected six feature wins, but he also claimed the Late Model Track Championship at the legendary Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania). It marked his first title at the sprawling, ½-mile oval.

Bryan claimed five of his six wins at Selinsgrove Speedway with the other victory coming at Maryland’s Hagerstown Speedway. In 36 events he recorded six wins, 16 Top-5 finishes and 22 Top-10 finishes.

“Competition is tougher than ever in the Late Model division so to get the Selinsgrove Speedway championship and six wins is something I’m proud to have accomplished,” Bryan Bernheisel commented. “Honestly, we were regularly in contention for more wins. A few nights we fell just short, and on others we battled some random bad luck. It’s been a fun year not only driving my car but helping other Lazer Chassis customers with their rides. I couldn’t be more excited for the 2019 season.”

Bryan’s dad, Jim Bernheisel contested a limited schedule in 2018, but still came away with three Top-5 finishes and five Top-10 finishes in six starts. His races were a mix of Modified and Late Model events.

“I don’t get to race as much as I used to because I’m more focused than ever on helping our great customers, but whenever I get a chance I still like to jump in the driver’s seat and have some fun,” Jim Bernheisel proudly noted. “I want to thank all of the sponsors and supporters, who make our racing operation possible. We’ve truly got some incredible people, who support us.”

With the 2018 season in the rearview mirror, Bernheisel Racing is already preparing for an even bigger and better 2019 campaign. The team plans to once again enter regional and national level, Late Model events throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, when not competing regularly at Selinsgrove Speedway.
