Bernheisel Credited with 13th Place Finish in Breakout Weekend at Selinsgrove

On Saturday evening Bryan Bernheisel invaded Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.) powering his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips No. 119 Late Model entry for the Breakout Weekend. With 28 cars on hand for the track’s season opener, Bernheisel laid down the fourth fastest time in his group before charging to an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in second, Bryan crossed the line in third in the 30-lap affair, but race officials deemed he was light at the scales, dropping him back to a 13th place finish. After post-race inspection, the crew determined that carburetor issues caused a significant loss of fuel which resulted in the car weighing in 15 pounds less than the requirement.
