Jim Bernheisel visits Port Royal for World of Outlaws doubleheader

Friday night found Jim Bernheisel in action at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) to test the waters against a field of 42 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries. Improving two spots in his heat race, Bernheisel recorded an eighth-place finish, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Needing to place third or better, Jim logged an eighth-place finish.

For the Billy Vacek Memorial on Saturday, Jim logged a seventh-place finish in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Locking the Top-3 into the show, Bernheisel logged a seventh-place outing.
