Bryan followed up the fourth-fastest time in his group with a third-place finish in his heat while Jim had to contend for a transfer spot in the B-Main after placing seventh in his heat. Taking the top-three, Jim retired on the sixth circuit, bringing an early end to his night. Bryan was slated to start the $10,000-to-win A-Main in 12th but the team found engine issues before the start of the 40-lapper which forced Bryan to start on the tail and pull off on the second lap.
Returning to action on Saturday, Bryan visited Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for another $10,000-to-win A-Main with the World of Outlaws. With a stout field of 41 Late Models entered, Bernheisel stopped the clock sixth-fastest in his group before grabbing the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Losing three spots in the 40-lap feature, Bryan recorded an 18th-place outing.
