Sixth-place finish in Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown
Taking part in a doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Bryan Bernheisel visited West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) on Friday afternoon for the preliminary event leading up to Saturday’s E3 Spark Plugs Historic 100.
Drawing 31 cars, Bryan came in sixth in his heat before grabbing the sixth-and-final transfer spot in his B-Main. With $15,000 on the line in the feature, Bernheisel carried a steady pace in the 30-lapper to finish 22nd.
On Saturday, Bernheisel followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a sixth-to-third run in his B-Main. Starting the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 in 19th, Bryan clawed forward three spots in the 50-lapper to record a 16th-place outing.
For the Frank Sagi Tribute on Sunday at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.), Bryan secured his spot into the A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat. Losing two spots in the 30-lap affair, Bernheisel posed a sixth-place finish.
