12th-place finish in Rumble by the River prelim at Port Royal

Bryan Bernheisel was one of 52 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries amassed at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Rumble by the River.

With the field divided into two groups for a pair of $5,000-to-win preliminary features, Bryan’s fifth-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the eighth row for his prelim. Inching forward three spots in the 25-lap affair, Bernheisel rolled to a 12th-place finish.

Back aboard his Uglies Kettle Chips No. 119 Late Model on Saturday, Bernheisel missed a transfer spot by one car in his heat with a fourth-place finish, relegating him into a consolation race for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Rumble by the River finale. Taking only the top-two, Bryan fell short with a fifth-place outing, ending his night early.
