Bryan Bernheisel tackles busy Memorial Day weekend at Bedford and Bridgeport
Kicking off his Memorial Day weekend, Bryan Bernheisel checked into Bedford (Pa.) Speedway on Friday afternoon for the special $4,000-to-win Turk Burket Memorial event.
Stopping the clock fifth-quickest in his qualifying group, Bernheisel started mid-pack in the 35-lap feature and made up a few positions to record a sixth-place finish.
Saturday's event at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway was rained out.
Capping off his extended weekend at Bridgeport (N.J.) Motorsports Park on Sunday, Bernheisel qualified 13th-quickest out of 21 cars and made up two spots in his heat race to finish third. In the 40-lap main event, Bryan moved passed three competitors to finish just off the podium in fourth.
