October 12, 2019 - Bryan Bernheisel Lands Top 5 Finish at Cumberland
Saturday found Bryan Bernheisel in action at The Greater Cumberland Raceway (Cumberland, Maryland) for the regular night of racing. After coming in 4th in his heat, Bernheisel gained three spots in the feature to place 5th behind Brian Booze, Trever Feathers, Matt Cosner, and Bob Gordon.

October 5, 2019 - Bernheisel Attends Pittsburgher 100 at PPMS
Bryan Bernheisel was one of 37 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries signed in at Pittsburgh PA. Motor Speedway (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the 31st annual Pittsburgher 100. Jumping up one spot in his heat, Bernheisel recorded a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $20,000-to-win A-Main. Passing three cars to place 3rd, Bryan earned the 22nd-starting position for the main event. With 100-laps to gain some ground, Bryan Bernheisel was an early retiree on lap 42.

September 28, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in Keystone Cup at Bedford Speedway
On Friday night Bryan Bernheisel visited Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) for the two-day Keystone Cup. In a field of 29 cars, Bryan laid down the second fastest lap overall in time trials before coming in 4th in his qualifying feature which locked his spot into Saturday night’s A-Main.

With $15,000 on the line, Bernheisel dropped outside the Top-10 early but battled back late in the 60-lapper to place 9th.

September 21, 2019 - Bernheisel's Attend WoO Invasion at Outlaw and Selinsgrove
Both Bryan and Jim Bernheisel were in action on Friday night at Outlaw Speedway (Dundee, New York) for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned Outlaw Fall Nationals. In a field of 23 cars, Bryan locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win opening night feature with a 5th place finish while Jim was involved in a tangle in his heat that prevented him from finishing. Improving one spot in the 50-lap feature, Bryan scored a 12th place finish. Jim was an early retiree from the A-Main on the tenth lap.

The following night at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) for the Jeff’s Auto Body National Open, Jim came in 14th fastest in time trials while Bryan came in 15th. Jim went on to secure his spot into finale with a 6th place finish while Bryan came in 5th. With $10,000 on the line, Jim failed to finish after getting collected in a wreck on the fourth lap while Bryan gained three spots to place 12th.

September 14, 2019 - Bryan Scores Podium Finish in Billy Vacek Memorial
1On Saturday evening both Bryan and Jim Bernheisel invaded Lincoln Speedway (Abbottstown, Pennsylvania) for the inaugural Billy Vacek Memorial. With 37 cars on hand, Bryan broke the track record in time trials while Jim recorded the 12th fastest lap in his group in the Denny Superko-owned No. 31 entry. Earning a spot into the A scramble, Bryan captured the two-lap victory which positioned him second on the starting grid for the $6,000-to-win A-Main. Jim edged his way into the A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 20th, Jim improved nine spots in the 40-lapper to place 11th. Bryan dropped one spot scoring a 3rd place finish behind Rick Eckert and Gregg Satterlee with Ross Robinson and Gary Stuhler rounding out the Top-5. (Jason Walls photo)

September 7, 2019 - Bryan Bernheisel Secures Route 35 Points Championship, Third in PA Tri-Track Challenge Series
Bryan Bernheisel traveled to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the Grit House Route 35 Challenge Series season finale. In a field of 24 cars, Bernheisel registered the second fastest lap in his time trial group before picking up a heat race victory. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in 5th, Bryan battled for a Top-5 finish the majority of the race until a late-race restart dropped him back to a 9th palce outing.

The following night at Hummingbird Speedway (Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania), Bryan recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat before coming in 4th in the King of the Hill race. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Bernheisel broke into the Top-10 early but faded in the closing laps to place 11th.

With his performance over the weekend, Bernheisel edged Dylan Yoder by one point to capture the Grit House Route 35 Challenge Series points title.

September 1, 2019 - 4th Place Finish in Labor Day 55 at Bedford Speedway
On Friday night Bryan Bernheisel traveled to Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) kicking off the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series tripleheader. Drawing 34 cars for the Labor Day 55, Bernheisel followed up the seventh fatest time in his qualifying group with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting the $7,055-to-win A-Main in 9th, Bryan passed five cars notching a 4th place finish behind Rick Eckert, Ross Robinson, and Jason Covert with Jared Miley coming in 5th.

The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) for the Butch Renninger Memorial, Bryan laid down the fastest lap overall in a field of 21 cars before placing 2nd in his heat behind Kyle Lee. Falling short of a Top-10 finish in the 33-lap feature, Bernheisel slipped back to a 12th place outing.

Sunday’s finale at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) fell victim to Mother Nature.

August 24, 2019 - Top 5 Finishes for Bernheisel Racing at Selinsgrove
Saturday night found both Bryan and Jim Bernheisel in action at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) competing in a field of 26 Grit House Route 35 Challenge Series entries. Bryan laid down the fastest lap overall in time trials before passing three cars in his heat to place 3rd. Jim locked his spot into the show with a 4th place finish in his heat. He went on to pass eight cars reeling in a 4th place finish behind Coleby Frye, Bryan, and Dylan Yoder with Mike Lupfer coming in 5th. Brian gained six more spots in the 25-lapper reeling in a 2nd place finish.

August 17, 2019 - Bernheisel Attends WoO Show at Williams Grove and Port Royal
Bryan Bernheisel was one of 30 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the $10,000 top prize. Holding his spot in his heat, Bernheisel edged his way into the opening feature with a 6th place finish. Rolling off 18th, Bryant jumped up two spots in the 40-lapper recording a 16th place finish.

On Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) for another $10,000-to-win A-Main, Bryan followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a consolation victory. Rolling off 17th, Bernheisel dropped one spot logging an 18th place outing.

August 10, 2019 - Pair of Top 10 Finishes with Ultimate NE at Selinsgrove
On Friday night Bryan Bernheisel returned with the Ultimate Northeast Series at Path Valley Speedway (Spring Run, Pennsylvania) piloting his Pioneer Pole Buildings No. 119 Super Late Model. In a field of 26 cars, Bryan recorded the tenth fastest time in qualifying before placing 4th in his heat. Starting the opening night feature in 16th, Bernheisel held his spot for the entire distance logging a 16th place outing.

The following night at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) with both Bryan and Jim in action for the Showdown on Sandhill, Bryan secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Jim was powering the Denny Superko-owned No. 31 Super Late Model where he locked his spot into the show with a 3rd place finish in his heat. With $3,000 on the line, both drivers gained two positions with Jim coming in 8th and Bryan in 7th.

August 3, 2019 - Bernheisel Sweeps Selinsgrove Field for Second Win
1While it may have taken longer than he would’ve liked, Bryan Bernheisel topped the Super Late Model action at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night in his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips No. 119 Pioneer Pole Buildings/ Lazer Chassis Super Late Model.

His first victory of the year at the ½-mile oval increased his overall 2019-win total to two.

"It's too late in the year for this to be my first win at Selinsgrove,” Bryan Bernheisel noted. We've been strong all year everywhere we go, but we haven't had the luck to go with it. Finally, things are clicking here late in the year. We definitely hope to keep it rolling."

On Saturday night Bernheisel Racing traveled to Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) with both Bryan and Jim competing in the Super Late Model ranks.

In a field of 21 entries, Bryan secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Jim failed to make it out for his heat race due to mechanical issues and eventually retired early from the feature on lap 17 with more woes.

Starting the feature in the fourth position, Bryan enjoyed a much-more enjoyable outing than what his father experienced. He slipped ahead of Hayes Mattern in the closing laps to capture his second win of the season and a $2,500 payday. Donnie Schick, Coleby Frye, Ken Trevitz, and Hayes Mattern trailed him to the checkers in the 25-lap affair.

July 27, 2019 - 7th Place Finish in Smokey Frye Classic at BAPS
Saturday night found Bryan Bernheisel in action at BAPS Motor Speedway (Newberrytown, Pennsylvania) for the Ultimate Northeast Series sanctioned Smokey Frye Classic. In a field of 21 cars, Bernheisel followed up the fourth fastest time in qualifying with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in 7th, Bryan held his spot for the entire distance to place 7th.

July 20, 2019 - Bryan Captures Late Race Victory at Clinton County
1Bryan Bernheisel scored his first-career, Zimmer’s United Late Model Series win on Friday night at Clinton County Motor Speedway. The triumph was worth $3,000 for the driver of the Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips No. 119 Pioneer Pole Buildings/ Lazer Chassis Super Late Model.

“It was a great feeling to get both our first win of the year and our first ULMS victory on Friday night,” Bryan Bernheisel noted. “That was a tough deal for Ferree, but we were there to capitalize, when he had his flat tire late in the race. Last week dad won at Selinsgrove, and now I picked up a win. I feel like our cars are getting better and better every time that we hit the track.

“I’d like to thank my family, my team, and my sponsors for making this all possible. Hopefully, now that the first one is out of the way, the rest will come much easier.”

On Friday evening Bryan Bernheisel invaded Clinton County Motor Speedway (Mill Hall, Pennsylvania) for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series (ULMS), sanctioned program. In a field of 19 entries, Bernheisel record the fastest lap in time trials before capturing a heat race victory.

Starting on the pole for the feature, Bryan led the first eight circuits until Alex Ferree snuck past on the ninth lap. After following closely behind Ferree through lapped-traffic, Bernheisel regained the lead on lap 25, when the leader suffered a flat tire. Bryan went on to pick up his first win of the season and a $3,000 payday. The triumph also marked the first of his career with the series. Coleby Frye, Dylan Yoder, Jim Yoder, and Matt Cochran trailed him to the checkers.

The following night Bryan traveled to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) where he was competing in a field of 21 Route 35 Challenge Series entries. Gaining one spot in is heat race, Bernheisel scored a runner-up finish behind Jeff Rine, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the feature.

Advancing one spot in the 25-lap finale, Bernheisel posted a sixth-place finish.

July 13, 2019 - Jim Bernheisel Scores First Win of the Season at Selinsgrove
1On Saturday night Bernheisel patriarch, Jim Bernheisel showed Selinsgrove Speedway’s Super Late Model division that he still knows how to go fast with the best of them. The driver of the Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips No. 171 Pioneer Pole Buildings/ Lazer Chassis Super Late Model stormed to the feature win at the sprawling, ½-mile oval.

Even more impressive is that the win came in just his fifth start of the season.

“I’ve become a part-time racer over the last several years, and I only run 6-8 races each season. With that said, I still have the fire burning inside me anytime that I get behind the wheel, and I love going fast. Even more, I love showing everyone how good our Lazer Chassis truly are,” proudly stated the 61-year-old, Jim Bernheisel. “Last but not least, the No. 171 was my number the first year that I race in 1976 as a teenager. This is my first win with that number, so it makes it extra special.”

On Saturday evening Bernheisel Racing visited Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) with both Bryan and Jim in action as the facility hosted a Weekly Racing Series Event.

With 17 competitors registered for action, Jim secured his spot into the A-Main with a heat race victory, while Bryan finished in the third position. Bryan went on to pass two cars in the 25-lap feature to record a sixth-place finish, while Jim outran Donnie Schick, Dave Brouse, Ken Trevitz, and Danny Snyder to capture his first win of the season and fifth career at Selinsgrove Speedway.

July 6, 2019 - Pair of Top 5 Finishes with Route 35 Late Model Series
Thursday night found Bryan Bernheisel in action at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) powering his Pioneer Pole Buildings No. 119 Super Late Model for the Route 35 Late Model Challenge Series sanctioned contest. Coming in 2nd in his heat behind Gene Knaub, Bernheisel earned the 4th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Bryan was running in 2nd until fading back to a 4th place finish in the closing laps trailing Gene Knaub, Dylan Yoder, and Brett Schadel across the line with Jeff Rine coming in 5th.

On Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) following the Route 35 Late Model Challenge Series, Bernheisel locked his spot into the finale with a heat race victory. Rolling off on the front row for the $2,200-to-win A-Main, Bryan dropped two spots in the 25-lapper to place 4th behind Nick Dickson, Andy Haus, and Gene Knaub with Jeff Rine rounding out the Top-5.

June 29, 2019 - Tough Luck Continues at Clinton County Motor Speedway
Bryan Bernheisel traveled to Clinton County Motor Speedway (Mill, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the Ultimate Northeast Series sanctioned program. With 22 Super Late Models registered in for action, Bernheisel laid down the fourth fastest lap overall in time trials before jumping up two spots in his heat to place 2nd behind Andrew Yoder. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in 10th, Bryan broke into the Top-5 by the fifth lap and continued improving until a flat-tire sent him pitside. Rejoining the field from the tail, Bernheisel had climbed into the Top-10 and was working his way towards the front until he got caught behind a massive tangle. The contact led to a multiple car pile-up but he was able to walk away unharmed.

Saturday's program at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) was rained out.

June 22, 2019 - Top 5 Finish at Selinsgrove Speedway
Saturday night saw both Bryan and Jim Bernheisel in action at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) competing in their respective ranks. In a field of 18 Super Late Models, Bryan jumped up two spots in his heat to place 4th while Jim passed three cars reeling in a 3rd place finish. After a flat-tire sent him to the tail while he was marching to the front, Jim joined the field from the tail and was working his way forward when he ran into engine issues ending his night immediately. Bryan passed three cars in the 25-lap feature to place 5th behind Coleby Frye, Jim Yoder, Hayes Mattern, and Brett Schadel.

June 15, 2019 - Bryan Salvages 11th Place Finish in Dad's Car at Selinsgrove
On Saturday evening Bryan Bernheisel visited Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) powering his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Super Late Model entry. After hard contact in hot-laps sidelined his primary car, Bryan hopped behind of the #171 and recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting the feature in 10th, Bernheisel was making a pass for 8th late in the race when he bobbled dropping him back to a 11th place finish.

June 8, 2019 - Solid Weekend for Bernheisel Racign at Williams Grove and Selinsgrove
Friday night found both Bryan Bernheisel and Jim Bernheisel in action at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) competing in the Tri-Track Late Model Challenge Series. Following the second fastest time in his group, Bryan rebounded late in his heat to finish 5th. Jim locked his spot into the A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting in 4th, Jim dropped one spot in the 30-lapper notching a 5th place finish behind Rick Eckert, Dan Stone, Coleby Frye, and Jerry Bard. Bryan got caught behind a wreck on the second lap of the feature that ended his night early.

The following night at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania), Bryan laid down the third fastest lap overall in time trials before placing 2nd in his heat. Rolling off on the pole for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Bernheisel led the first 17 circuits until dropping back to a 2nd place finish behind Dan Stone with Coleby Frye, Gene Knaub, and Hayes Mattern rounding out the Top-5.

June 1, 2019 - Bad Luck Continues in Billy Winn Classic at Bedford Speedway
1Bryan Bernheisel returned to Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the $8,300-to-win Billy Winn Classic. In a field of 26 cars, Bernheisel followed up the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting the opening night feature in 12th, Bryan rebounded after suffering a flat tire on tenth lap but ran into transmission issues on lap-38 that sidelined him for the remainder of the night.

On Saturday evening at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania), Bernheisel placed 2nd in his heat and was staging for the feature until the rain came and postponed the event to a later date.

May 26, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in Grum-Burket Tribute at Bedford Speedway
1Kicking off the Memorial Day weekend, Bryan Bernheisel was one of 25 Super Late Models on hand at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) for the Johnny Grum-Turk Burket Tribute. Gaining one spot in his heat, Bernheisel posted a 7th place finish which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $8,300 on the line, Bryan advanced through the field 15 spots in the 35-lapper to place 7th.

1The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) for the doubleheader, Bernheisel locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win Fallen Heroes Championship A-Main with a 5th place finish in his heat. Shortly after the Sprint Car feature wrapped up, Mother Nature postponed the 35-lapper to Sunday afternoon.

Starting the rescheduled A-Main in 16th, Bryan passed four cars reeling in a 12th place finish.

Later that evening for the Bob Weikert Memorial, Bryan laid down the 13th fastest time overall before placing 4th in his heat. Starting the $5,000-to-win finale in 15th, Bernheisel dropped one spot in the 35-lap affair logging a 16th place outing.

May 18, 2019 - Early Retiree from Ron Keister Memorial at Selinsgrove
1Bryan Bernheisel was one of 36 Super Late Models on hand at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the Ron Keister Memorial. Following the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Bryan logged a 6th place finish in his heat race forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $11,000-to-win A-Main. Unable to get anything started, Bryan was an early retiree from the 52-lapper on the 15th circuit.

Sunday's event at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, MD) was postponed to August 24th.

May 11, 2019 - Bryan Scores Top 5 Finish at Selinsgrove, Jim Places 11th

Starting the feature in 10th, Jim fell one position logging a 11th place outing. Bryan started the A-Main in 4th and was up to 2nd at one point but faded to place 4th behind Brett Schadel, Coleby Frye, and Jeff Rine with Randy Christine coming in 5th.

April 27, 2019 - 11th Place Finish in First Start of the Season at Winchester
1After Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s plans at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania), Bryan Bernheisel made an unexpected trip to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) on Saturday competing in a field of 22 Super Late Models. Following the seventh fastest time overall in qualifying, Bernheisel registered a 5th place finish in his heat positioning him 13th on the starting grid for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Falling one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Bryan jumped up two spots in the 35-lapper to place 11th.

Sunday's Route 35 Super Late Model Challenge Series sanctioned program at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) was wiped out by rain.

Trying out the high-side on a track that only had one grove on the bottom, Bryan slipped back to a 6th place finish.

April 13, 2019 - Bernheisel Suffers Mechanical Issues at Selinsgrove; Mother Nature Rains Out LOLMDS Event at Port Royal
1 Saturday night found Bryan Bernheisel in action at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) competing in a field of 24 Super Late Models. Jumping up two spots in his heat, Bernheisel scored a 3rd place finish positioning him 9th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Running into mechanical issues on the pace lap, Bryan was forced pitside after completing one lap of the feature.

Sunday's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Rumble by the River at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) fell victim to Mother Nature.

April 6, 2019 - 2nd and 6th Place Finishes in Selinsgrove Speedway Season-Opener
1After Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s event at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania), Bryan and Jim Bernheisel headed to Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Saturday for the track’s season opener. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Bryan earned the pole position for the feature. Jim recorded a 5th place finish in his heat positioning him 14th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Jim improved eight positions in the 25-lapper to place 6th. Bryan fell one spot notching a runner-up finish behind Coleby Frye with Brett Schadel, Danny Snyder, and Randy Christine completing the Top-5 finishers.

March 30, 2019 - 12th Place Finish in Season Debut at Williams Grove Speedway
1Bryan Bernheisel kicked off the 2019 season on Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series sanctioned program. In a field of 25 cars, Bernheisel laid down the third fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 4th in his heat race. Earning the 11th-starting position for the opening night feature, Bryan got spun around in the opening laps but rebounded from the tail of the field to place 12th.

1The following night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania), Bryan fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 6th place finish. Coming in 4th in his B-Main, Bernheisel locked into the 24th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Gaining three spots in the 30-lap affair, Bryan Bernheisel registered a 21st place outing.

November 7, 2018 - Bernheisel Racing Ends 2018 Season with Six Wins and a Championship; Preparations Already Underway for a Big 2019 Campaign
1Bernheisel Racing with drivers, Bryan Bernheisel and Jim Bernheisel recently put a wrap on the 2018 campaign. It was another successful year of competition for the Pennsylvania-based team.

Bryan Bernheisel had another banner season in his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Russ Gibble Roofing & Siding/ Lazer Chassis Late Model. He not only collected six feature wins, but he also claimed the Late Model Track Championship at the legendary Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania). October 14, 2018 - Jim Bernheisel Lands Top 5 Finish in World Series of Dirt at Selinsgrove Speedway
1 Both Bryan and Jim Bernheisel invaded Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Friday night competing in the Super Late Model ranks for the World Series of Dirt. With 16 Super Late Models on hand for the two-day event, Bryan jumped up two spots in his heat to place 2nd behind Dave Brouse Jr. Jim passed three cars in his 12-lap heat reeling in a 3rd place finish. Earning the 6th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Jim gained two spots in the 40-lap affair notching a 4th place finish behind Dylan Yoder, Gene Knaub, and Coleby Frye with Jim Yoder coming in 5th. Bryan started the feature in 3rd but debris on the track caused mechanical issues forcing him to retire early.

September 29, 2018 - Bernheisel Attends Keystone Cup at Bedford Speedway
1Friday night saw Bryan Bernheisel in action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) for the inaugural Keystone Cup. In a stout field of 47 cars, Bernheisel laid down the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group locking him into the 4th-starting position for his qualifying feature. September 23, 2018 - 11th Place Finish With the World of Outlaws at Selinsgrove
1With Mother Nature shifting Friday’s program to Sunday, Bryan Bernheisel was one of 35 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries signed in at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the Late Model National Open. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Bernheisel scored a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Devin Moran positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. “You got to be on your game with these guys,” Bernheisel said. “I was getting more confident last year, and I actually won quite a few races last year as well, but I still would say I wasn’t near the confidence level I am right now. And honestly, I would say I’m not near where I need to be, either, but I’m getting there.”

1The following night at Outlaw Speedway (Dundee, New York), Bernheisel came in 5th in his heat race locking him into the 15th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale. Holding his spot for all 50-laps, Bryan posted a 15th place outing.
