September 23, 2017 - Pair of Podium Finishes at Winchester Speedway
31 cars checked in to Winchester. We went out early for time trials which wasn't good because the track got quicker. Bryan still timed in 12th quick. After rolling off 3rd, he advanced to 2nd in the heat. He will roll off 8th in tomorrow's 30 lap feature.

In the feature Saturday at Winchester Bryan would put on a show. From his 8th starting spot he methodically worked his way to 2nd with only one caution. As the laps wound down he would begin to track down the leader, drawing within 2 car lengths as the white flag was waved. A last effort in turns 3 and 4 would come up just short and Bryan would settle for a solid 2nd place finish. Bryan remarked after the race that qualifying the night before was the difference between winning and second.

20 modifieds were in attendance at Winchester. Jim set 3rd quick time and finish 2nd in his heat. Rolling of 3rd in the feature Jim quickly made his way to 2nd. On a late restart he took a shot at the lead only to slip up just a little. He would settle for a solid 3rd place in only his 3rd start of the season.

We will be taking this weekend off. Both Bryan and Jim will be racing super late models at Williams Grove the following weekend for the run what you brung. We also plan for Bryan to race the run what you brung at Dog Hollow.
